“Wine Tasting and Art,” the popular fundraiser presented for the seventh year by the American Red Cross of Glendale-Crescenta Valley and the Forest Lawn Museum, is scheduled at the museum, Thursday, June 20, starting at 5:30PM.
Fritz Coleman hosts the event which will feature a selection of very special California and international wines, a delectable assortment of cheeses and fine chocolates to cap off the night. The event will also offer live music, an opportunity to explore the museum’s fine art collection and a silent auction. All proceeds from sponsorships and ticket sales will benefit the Glendale-Crescenta Valley Chapter of the Red Cross.
Sponsorships for the evening are available and start at $50-$1,000. Tickets are $60 per person, reduced to $100 for two.
“This very popular event offers local businesses a wonderful way of getting name recognition in the community, while doing a great service for the Red Cross,” says Ron Farina, Chapter Executive Officer. “We always get a wonderful response from our friends and neighbors.”
Fritz Coleman, who is an enthusiastic supporter of the American Red Cross, has been the weekday weathercaster for KNBC since 1984, featured on the news at five, six and 11PM. He is known both for his sense of humor and knowledge of weather. Coleman has won numerous honors and awards for his community service. His invaluable contribution to the American Red Cross was memorialized by the United States House of Representatives with their Humanitarian of the Year Award.
Forest Lawn Museum has a panoramic view of the city of Glendale, and the museum features a revolving exhibit of fine art for guests to enjoy. Forest Lawn also provides appetizers, along with ambiance. It is located at 1712 S. Glendale Ave.
