Fourth Annual Wolfpack Blood Drive Aims for New Record

Become a Red Cross blood donor today!
North Carolina State students, faculty and alumni organize this massive drive annually, collecting hundreds of pints of blood at our most critical time of year. We could not be more grateful.

Do you bleed Wolfpack Red? Show your N.C. State school spirit by donating blood at the 4th annual Service N.C. State Blood Drive with the American Red Cross Friday, August 23, 2013. The blood drive will be held from 8 a.m. 7 p.m. in Carmichael Gym.

In 2012, the Wolfpack community helped the Red Cross collect 1,137 units of lifesaving blood! This year, we’re trying to collect 1,200 pints—but we need YOUR help and YOUR Wolfpack blood to do it!

It’s not just about setting records, though. It’s about helping save lives. The Service N.C. State Blood Drive comes at one of the most challenging times of the year for blood collections. The Red Cross has experienced an urgent need for blood this summer, and the need continues. Every two seconds someone needs blood, and countless numbers of patients depend on volunteer donors like you for survival.
