The American Red Cross of Hancock County is once again bringing all the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood party to our community with the Fourth Annual KeyBank Oscar Night gala, presented by Reineke Ford and Marathon Petroleum Company. Oscar Night in Gotham City takes place Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Findlay Inn and Conference Center.
Executive Director Todd James says guests can expect everything that has made KeyBank Oscar Night one of the most popular events in the community. “Fantastic food from the area’s best chefs, live entertainment and dancing, auctions of unique items and a celebration of Hollywood’s best – that’s what we present each year and it just gets bigger and better!” James says the theme this year honors the most popular movies of 2012. “When you look at the box office returns, the biggest impact on pop culture and the most successful cinema franchises of the last few years, super heroes rule the movies. We are celebrating these movie heroes by bringing Wayne Manor to the Findlay Inn & Conference Center for a super-hero worthy party.”
James says the elements that make Oscar Night so successful are all still in place – the red carpet, paparazzi, great food, music, dancing and fun. Guests will be greeted on the red carpet by “Alfred” and his staff from WKXA FM and WFIN AM. Food for the event will be provided by Findlay’s top chefs: Chef Chris Koerner of the Findlay Inn, Chef Tim Cooper of Birchaven Village, Chef Geoff Wedwalt of the Findlay Country Club and Chef Tara Hughes of TASTE by Tara. Dessert and coffee will be provided by Buggy Whip Bakery, Colenie Cakes, Anne Hermiller Cheesecakes and Coffee Amici. Live music will be provided by Hep Cat Revival - a popular show band from Toledo. There will be auctions featuring several unique items including a guitar autographed by The Rolling Stones; an autographed picture of former presidents Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, Gerald Ford and Richard Nixon; art work by local artist Phil Sugden; trips to New York and New Orleans; and more. State Senator Cliff Hite will be hosting the event and serving as “Bruce Wayne”.
Tickets for Oscar Night are $50. Tables for ten guests can be reserved for $525 and half tables for five guests are available for $275. Tickets and table reservations are available at the Hancock County Red Cross office, 125 Fair Street in Findlay, online at redcross.org/hancock or by phone at 419-422-9322.
