Hockey Jersey Design Contest

Red Cross Jersey Night
The winner will receive a team-signed jersey, two VIP tickets to Red Cross Jersey Night, on-ice recognition and more.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The American Red Cross is celebrating the Stanley Cup with a contest to design a hockey jersey that will be worn by members of the Ontario Reign, an L.A. Kings affiliate, during Red Cross Jersey night.

The fourth annual event, to held on Feb. 2, 2013, provides awareness of disaster relief and preparedness efforts in San Bernardino County and concludes the county’s signature Red Cross fundraising campaign, Hope 365. Jerseys for previous events have been designed by local tattoo artist Corey Miller of LA Ink.

“We are excited to offer the design contest to any artist and hockey fans around the country,” said Yevette Ramos, CEO of the American Red Cross Inland Empire Chapter. “Corey’s jerseys have truly become a collector’s item and have raised significant funds to help support the mission of the Red Cross. We expect the excitement around this year’s design contest to be as successful as well.”

In addition to having their design produced, the winner will receive a team-signed jersey, two VIP tickets to Red Cross Jersey Night, on-ice recognition and more. Design submissions will be accepted through July 31 and, shortly thereafter, four final designs will be placed on the Ontario Reign website for public to vote.

Anyone interested in participating in the design contest should visit www.redcross.org/ie for design requirements, an entry form and complete rules. Designs should incorporate the Red Cross logo and be consistent with organizational values.
