Klockner-Pentaplast of Gordonsville, VA is supporting Red Cross Relief Efforts. Currently they have a tractor trailer stationed at the Wal-Mart in Ruckersville, through Sunday, and they are collecting all relief items except perishables. This truck will be going to a special needs school of 500 pupils and 75+ teachers in Brooklyn, NY. Relief items are needed for the students, teachers and families. Some of the special items requested are as follows: Utensils, paper products, baby products, coats, shoes, clothes, boots, shovels, rakes, bleach, new bedding, track phones/cards and heavy duty bags.
A 2nd truck will be set up at Kmart on Hydraulic road THIS FRIDAY AT 8:00 AM thru SUNDAY; they will be collecting the same items.
Let’s spread the word so that they can fill them up! There will possibly be a 3rd truck if these 2 get filled! Think what a difference we could make if every household in Charlottesville and all of our surrounding counties would give a coat and a special item above.
The Red Cross response to Sandy is very large, and will be very costly. Financial support is the quickest and best way to help people who need it most.
