Linda Creech is an LPN, Red Cross Volunteer Deploys to Colorado

The Dayton Area Chapter of the American Red Cross has deployed one of our volunteers to help the people suffering from the extreme flooding in Colorado.

Linda Creech is an LPN and she will join more than 860 other Red Crossers who have been deployed to that region. Creech’s primary focus will be to provide health services. She may be deployed as part of an Emergency Aid Station at rebuilding sites, positioned at one of our three headquarters in that area to assist staff and volunteers, or located at one of our shelters to help residents.

The Red Cross typically staffs Health and Mental Health workers at Emergency Aid Stations. At these stations they can also hand out comfort items, snacks, cold water, stuffed animals, coloring books and a variety of safety information. Workers can also help connect people with Red Cross caseworkers or other services to help support their individual recovery.

Creech is the second Red Cross person deployed from the Dayton Area Chapter to Colorado. C.J. Moore, Emergency Services Casework Coordinator, arrived in that area last week as a bulk distribution supervisor.
