Six local members of the American Red Cross Tiffany Circle Society of Women Leaders attended the seventh annual Women’s Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. where they attended a private concert given by All-Star Celebrity Apprentice winner, country singer and Red Cross supporter, Trace Adkins.
The summit, which gathered more than 200 women philanthropists from across the nation who support the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross, featured guest speakers, educational sessions and one of country music’s biggest stars, Trace Adkins.
Trace Adkins is a Red Cross National spokesperson and recently took home the title of All-Star Celebrity Apprentice. Through participation in the show, Adkins raised more than $1.5 million for the Red Cross. This season featured 14 returning celebrities as contestants to compete with the goal of raising money for their charity of choice.
“I am proud to see local women from our community making a difference every day down the street and across the country,” said Louise Welch Williams, regional chief executive officer, American Red Cross, Palmetto SC Region. “It is because of our financial donors that we are able to touch 1 in 12 lives in our community each year. We are very excited that Trace Adkins competed for the Red Cross this season on All-Star Celebrity Apprentice and are grateful for his investment in the important work of the Red Cross.”
