Last Thursday, storms in western Pennsylvania resulted in heavy downpours and major flooding. Families were forced from their homes and the American Red Cross was there to assist them. Volunteers and staff are currently on-the-ground, providing assistance to affected residents, and plan to be there for days to come.
Local volunteer, Liz Dady of Springfield, will deploy to the area tomorrow to assist on the Red Cross flood relief operation. Liz will be working in health services as the Red Cross State Nurse lead.
