Dusya Lyubovskaya loves to listen.

As a home health aide, it comes naturally to her. It’s a skill she practices as a Red Cross Service to Armed Forces volunteer, and one that’ll be very useful as a volunteer ambassador with the Boston VA Healthcare System.

“I love it – I’m around patients, I get to meet people and I get to listen to their stories,” she said.

Lyubovskaya was named ambassador at the Jamaica Plain campus just two weeks ago, and has jumped head first into the role.

There, she greets outpatients offers wheelchairs when needed and sometimes accompanies them to wherever they need to go within the hospital.
