Whether it’s a disaster that devastates thousands of people or a home fire that affects one family, the American Red Cross is always there to help. With a 98 percent volunteer workforce and responding to an average of three disasters per day, the Red Cross is there because of donations from the American people – Everyday Heroes.
In celebration of March is Red Cross Month, generous Brevard County businesses, including 98.5 The Beach Radio Station, All Promotions, Inc., Delaware North Companies and Parrish Medical Center, have sponsored a Red Cross Everyday Heroes campaign where for a $20 minimum donation people will receive a Heroes car magnet to show their support for all the ways the Red Cross serves Brevard County each day.
When donors display their Heroes magnets on their vehicles and tune into 98.5 The Beach, there will be opportunities to call in from March 17-28 for a chance to win a daily prize, including restaurant, spa and hotel gift certificates; family days out; a helicopter ride; and a new TV, all donated by Brevard County businesses.
“Your donation to the American Red Cross will go toward meeting a variety of needs – a blanket to comfort a child, a safe place to stay and hot meals for disaster survivors in shelters or emergency communications for a member of the military needing to get home. Stand with the Red Cross today and become an everyday hero in our community,” says Karen Hagan, CEO, American Red Cross Mid-Florida Region.
There are two ways to participate:
1. Call (321) 890-1002 ext. 5312 to make a donation by phone and we’ll mail your magnet to you.
2. Visit one of the eight participating business locations to make a donation and pick up a magnet:
