Mr. Robert P. Balles to match gifts made through December 31!

Robert P. Balles - Matching Donations
It is only through financial contributions that the local Chapter can help the residents of Monterey and San Benito Counties prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies of all sizes.

Robert P. Balles, a retired college mathematics instructor, retired businessman and currently a private investor, is a generous philanthropist for several local organizations and schools. For the fifth year, he will match gifts made to the American Red Cross Monterey Bay Area Chapter through the end of 2012 up to a total of $3,400.

Bob gives this gift each year in loving memory and honor of his parents, William and Marie Balles. In particular, Robert’s mother worked for decades as a volunteer in fundraising drives for the American Red Cross in New York City. Bob Balles hopes to encourage others in the community to find the joy of giving back to others.
