Red Cross Resource Center is open through Friday to assist those impacted by flooding
The Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) set up by the Red Cross of Wyoming will remain open till 7:00 PM Friday night. The Center has opened 64 cases so far, assisting 215 people. Anyone with damage from the flood is encouraged to come to the Center as soon as possible, as Friday is the last day it will be open. The Center is at the Fremont County Fairgrounds; hours are 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Assistance is available to anyone impacted in the surrounding area, not just those in Riverton.
If anyone needs still needs assistance after Friday, they should contact the Casper Red Cross office at (307) 237-8436. If the situation is an emergency, they should contact the 24-hour Disaster Response Line, (307) 222-8272.
Several agencies besides the Red Cross will be at the Resource Center to answer questions and determine if residents qualify for other types of assistance.
