Several community organizations and the City of Henderson joined the Red Cross and the members of the Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada on Saturday, April 20th, to canvas Henderson neighborhoods to talk to home owners about pool safety.
It only takes a minute for a pool incident to occur, so volunteers from around the Valley came to hand out information and tips to help homeowners keep their family and friends safe around pools and hot tubs.
Last year in Southern Nevada, 54 drowning incidents occurred. The “Safe Pools Rule” event was a fun way to engage area residents to remind them to be careful and get smart about pool safety.
