While the mission of the American Red Cross is in part to prevent and alleviate human suffering, we know how much you love your pets too. That’s why the Red Cross Pet First Aid app was created to put veterinary advice for everyday emergencies in the palm of your hand. With videos, interactive quizzes and simple step-by-step advice it’s never been easier to know Pet First Aid. In fact, tens of thousands of your fellow pet owners have downloaded the app to have critical first aid and health information at their fingertips.
Users have already used the information in the app to help save their pets. A dog owner used the information on choking to dislodge a piece of hot dog from his dog. Another owner used the toxic substance list after her young boxer got into the snack pantry – luckily nothing in there was toxic. The Red Paw Relief Team in Philadelphia used the app animal hospital locator to get animals to a facility after a fire.
