Quirk Auto Group recently presented the American Red Cross of Maine with a check for $1,000 for disaster relief. The check presentation marked the end of the “Gift of Love” sales event where $100 for each new or pre-owned Mercedes sold was pledged to the American Red Cross by Quirk Auto Group.
Along with providing a generous monetary donation and a vehicle discount earlier in the year, the American Red Cross of Maine’s growing partnership with Quirk Auto Group continues to pay further dividends to Mainers as Quirk customers also receive information about Red Cross services such as how to help their family and their community prepare for a disaster.
“The American Red Cross of Maine is such a great organization and we are proud to help support their lifesaving mission to provide hope to those who need it most,” said David Quirk, Vice President of Quirk Auto Group. "We know this will help a lot of people in the state of Maine.”
Todd Nadeau, Chapter Executive of the Pine Tree Chapter of the Red Cross confirmed the wide-ranging benefit of Quirk’s donation. “All Red Cross services are provided free of charge to anyone who needs help,” stated Nadeau. “The only way we can provide these critical services is through generous donations from individuals, foundations, and business across the state. Quirk is a shining example of how a business can have a positive impact right in their community.”
Quirk Auto Group, a family-owned and operated business, has been committed to customer satisfaction for over 40 years. With locations in Bangor, Portland, and Belfast, Quirk has grown from 4 to over 400 employees and is one of Maine’s largest automotive retailers
Last fiscal year, the American Red Cross of Maine provided disaster relief services to over 1,000 individuals across Maine. Our volunteers educated nearly 3,500 Mainers in disaster preparedness, and assisted about 1,000 military families with communications services and financial aid. All Red Cross services are free of charge and made possible by the generous contributions of individuals, businesses like Quirk Auto Group, and foundations across the state.
