RED CROSS RECOGNIZES OUTSTANDING CITIZENS
“They were chosen for the award because of their outstanding records of community service and organizational leadership,” says Red Cross Director David Conley.

The American Red Cross of Fostoria and Seneca County is recognizing two local men for their leadership in the community. Ray Wise of Tiffin and Arlen Lowery of Fostoria will be presented with Red Cross Citizen of Year awards at a celebration on Friday, April 26. The program begins at 11:30 a.m. at the North Central Ohio Educational Service Center in Tiffin. Tickets for the Citizen of the Year Celebration are $20 and are available at the Red Cross office in the Tiffin Mall and online at www.redcross.org/oh/findlay/about/locations.

Lowery recently retired as the Executive Director of the United Way of Fostoria. Wise is a retired Heidelberg University professor.

“They were chosen for the award because of their outstanding records of community service and organizational leadership,” says Red Cross Director David Conley, “Arlen and Ray personify community leadership in Fostoria and Tiffin. Everyone knows how much they have done for their communities and their organizations. They are exceptionally worthy of this recognition.”

Lunch will be provided by Greenbriar Catering of Carey and features their “famous” roast beef carving station.

Keynote speaker Dr. Frances Dove-Edwin is the President of the Sierra Leone Olympian Association, Director of Development for the African Olympian Association, and former flag holder for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. A native of Sierra Leone and permanent resident of London, England, Dr. Dove-Edwin is currently on the campus of Tiffin University serving as a senior visiting lecturer for the School of Business.
