Lansing MI – Friday, April 5, 2013 — Noel Houghton heard about the Mid-Michigan Red Cross’ Spot the RED contest from a friend.
The contest ran from March 1st through March 25th to raise awareness of the Red Cross during its March is Red Cross Month campaign. Yard signs were put up throughout Lansing, Jackson and Hillsdale counties urging people to scan a QR code and enter to win a ‘night on the town’ on the Red Cross’ Facebook page.
Noel Houghton spotted the sign at the Mid-Michigan Red Cross’ chapter at 1800 E. Grand River Ave. Noel is familiar with the location as she worked in the Red Cross Blood chapter as a Medical Technician for 7 years, as she puts, “many years ago.”
“This was the first such contest of its kind put on by this chapter, taking advantage of the prevalence of smartphones, and we hope to continue to reach out to the public through all mediums,” said Alison Bono, Regional Director of Communication.
Courtesy of the Studio C! theatre, which generously donated the gift card, Noel Houghton will be enjoying her prize at this entertainment complex featuring special reserved premier seating, chef prepared foods, and the highest digital resolution projection available. Located on the north end of the Meridian Mall, Studio C! occupies the former AMC Meridian 6.
