Remembering the heroes and victims of September 11, 2001 by giving blood.

On the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the American Red Cross partnered with organizations across the country to commemorate the day by offering individuals a chance to help others by giving blood.

Several events nationwide allowed participants to give blood to help hospital patients in memory of those who lost their lives on 9/11, as well as to honor first responders who serve and protect communities every day.

Check out the memorable moments from the Give Blood to Honor Our Heroes Blood Drive at Great Lakes Golf and Sports Complex in Auburn Hills, Michigan, the Day of Remembrance Blood Drive at Fenway Park and the Laps for Life Blood Drive at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
