The American Red Cross, Serving Erie & Niagara Counties, has recently consolidated its Niagara County offices inside the new Niagara Family Center at 1522 Main Street in Niagara Falls. The Red Cross is one of six community service organizations to join with Family & Children’s Service of Niagara in their newly expanded and renovated building.
The American Red Cross in Erie and Niagara Counties officially merged operations on July 1, 2011, and it was determined to be no longer feasible to maintain two separate offices in Niagara County in addition to the Administrative Headquarters at 786 Delaware Avenue in Buffalo. Previous Niagara County locations at 637 Davison Road in Lockport and 2079 Sawyer Drive in Niagara Falls have been closed. All phone calls and correspondence related to Red Cross services in Niagara County should be directed to the new location:

“The American Red Cross remains committed to providing the same disaster services, assistance to members of the military and their families, health and safety training and blood services residents throughout Niagara County have come to expect for over 90 years,” said Mark Dashner, Director of Niagara County Services. “This move will allow us to improve upon the services we already provide in Niagara County, and do so at a lesser cost than before.”
Along with Family & Children’s Service and the American Red Cross, other organizations in the Niagara Family Center include: Girl Scouts of WNY; Rivershore, Inc.; Literacy New York Buffalo-Niagara; Native American Community Services; and Ways to Work Niagara.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of the Niagara Family Center,” said Nancy Blaschak, Executive Director of the American Red Cross, Serving Erie & Niagara Counties. “Consolidating our Niagara County offices into one location in the population center of Niagara Falls allows us to serve our clients more efficiently, and the convenient access to these other partner organizations in the Niagara Family Center will help the people we serve receive additional support.”
The American Red Cross, Serving Erie & Niagara Counties invites all of its supporters to visit its new location inside the Niagara Family Center at an Open House on Thursday, August 2nd from 5:30-7pm. For more information on the open house or the consolidation, please contact Jay Bonafede, Communications Coordinator, at (716) 878-2372 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
