Red Cross Deploying ERV's in Wake of Sandy Landfall

NORTHEAST, TN October 27, 2012- The ERV (Emergency Response Vechile) from the Northeast Tennessee has been deployed to Virginia. The ERV and crew is set to depart today in preparation of Tropical Storm or Hurricane Sandy landfall. Volunteers also throughout Northeast Tennessee is gearing up for possible deployments to assist with Sandy. The American Red Cross shelters,feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nations blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and there families.
