The American Red Cross of the Chesapeake Region is pleased to welcome James Francavilla as the new Regional Chief Development Officer. Francavilla brings extensive fundraising, strategic planning, project management and community and corporate outreach expertise to the position.
Previously Francavilla served as Executive Director and Deputy Director of the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area, the Senior Vice President of Program Strategy and Community Development with First Book—a national literacy organization--and as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund.
In addition to non-profit experience, Francavilla spent over 20 years in the financial services industry including twelve years at T. Rowe Price where he was Vice President of Client Administration.
Francavilla has a degree in Marketing from St. John's University in New York City and an MBA in Global Management. He serves on The Fund for American Studies’ Institute on Philanthropy and Volunteer Services’ Board of Visitors. He is originally from New York City and currently resides in Columbia, Maryland.
