Red Cross Offers Disaster Preparedness Seminar in Danville
We hope people will attend so that they can get the facts they need to better respond should a disaster happen to them.

The American Red Cross, in partnership with the Vermilion County Health Department and State Farm, has developed a thorough Community Disaster Education program for the whole family that helps build a “culture of prevention” in our community.

Topics will include:

  • Family Communication & Emergency Plan
  • Stress Management in a Disaster
  • Germ Busters
  • Pandemic Flu
  • Functional Needs in a Disaster
  • Recovering from Disaster: What to Expect
  • FOR KIDS: Safety & Emergency Preparedness
  • FOR KIDS: Safety In & Around the Water
  • Date: Monday, June 10

    Location: Danville Area Community College | Bremer Center (2000 E. Main Street in Danville, IL)

    Time: 6:30 - 8:30 pm

    “We see the devastation that a fire, flood or tornado can cause to a home, business or other community organization,” said Jamie Davis, Emergency Services Manager. “We hope people will attend so that they can get the facts they need to better respond should a disaster happen to them.”
