Red Cross Responds to June 27 Macomb Home Fire

The house fire left a family of 3 homeless.

At 1:00am June 27, McDonough county disaster volunteers responded to a home fire. The house fire, located in the 300 block of N. Campbell in Macomb, left a family of 3 homeless. The family went to stay with family friends immediately after the fire, but met with Red Cross on Friday morning. Red Cross provided for the family's emergency needs including shelter, food and clothing. Volunteers also provided water to fireman at fire scene.

The community can help those affected by future disasters by volunteering with the American Red Cross and/or making a contribution to American Red Cross Local Disaster Relief.
