Red Cross Responds to Storm Damage in Mount Olive

Roofs and brick fronts were ripped apart.

Volunteers from the Illinois Capital Area Chapter responded last night (5/20/2013) to a request for mass care for first responders in Mount Olive, IL.

Several buildings were damaged by strong winds, and roofs and brick fronts were ripped apart. There are still power outages in the area.

Approximately 35 first responders were served sandwiches, snacks and water as they responded to the scene. The chapter continues to work with local officials to ensure that any and all needs are met.
