Everyday heroes act selflessly, helping others in their time of need.

As the American Red Cross celebrates its 100th year of service in Colorado, the Red Cross Mile High Chapter is seeking Colorado heroes to honor at the 2015 Red Cross Heroes Soiree.

Each and every day, Coloradans in our community are saving lives and acting selflessly and heroically to help others at their time of greatest need. The Red Cross needs your help in identifying these heroes. Heroes can be individuals, groups, companies, organizations, and even pets!

The Mile High Chapter is seeking nominations of local heroes, such as:

  • Someone who saved a life within the past year using first aid, CPR or an AED
  • A person or organization that embodies the spirit of humanitarian service, volunteerism, commitment to community, compassion, and/or impartial service to help those in need
  • Someone who is dedicated to improving the health & safety of others
  • A person or organization that demonstrates dedication to preparing for or preventing disasters and emergencies
  • Someone who has rendered great support to members of our military
  • A member of the armed forces who saved lives through his or her actions.
  • Nominations may be submitted online at The deadline to submit nominations for the Heroes Soiree is Nov. 15, 2014.

Winners will be honored Friday, February 27, 2015, at the Red Cross Heroes Soiree, a celebration of the Red Cross spirit as exemplified in life-saving heroes in Colorado. It’s also the American Red Cross Mile High Chapter’s largest fundraiser of the year. All proceeds benefit local Red Cross services.

The Soiree will be held at the Sheraton Denver Downtown, 1550 Court Place, Denver, CO 80202 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
