Red Cross Volunteers Respond to Apartment Fire in TN

This 4th of July fire is yet another unfortunate reminder that disasters don’t take holidays.

NASHVILLE, TN, Thursday, July 4, 2013 — Volunteers responded to help local residents affected by an early morning 2 alarm fire at the Cobblestone Corners Apartment Complex, located on Ben Allen Road in Nashville.

The Red Cross is assisting a total of 13 people who were displaced from 7 units in the apartment complex. All of those who were affected are being provided with emergency food and clothing with 2 families requiring lodging.

This 4th of July fire is yet another unfortunate reminder that disasters don’t take holidays. Our local American Red Cross Disaster Action Teams (DAT) are on call around the clock so that the Red Cross can be there for our neighbors across Tennessee in their times of need.
