The Red Cross Young Professionals (RCYP) teamed up with Macy’s Downtown Dazzle on Saturday, November 24, 2012 helping the Tri-State send a “touch of home” to service members this holiday season. Families attending the event, had the opportunity to personally write heartfelt thanks to our troops by making and signing a card at the RCYP booth on Fountain Square.

“This card signing will allow Tri-State area residents to show their support and appreciation for the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who will spend this holiday season protecting our nation’s global interests,” said Michael Mattingly, Red Cross Young Professionals Military Support Committee Chair.

Over 350 cards were signed at Fountain Square that evening. The cards will be dispersed across seas to active military and their families, as well as, locally to military members and veterans of our military.
