Red Cross and United Way Recognize Heroes at 10th Annual Heroes Breakfast

Hyannis, Mass, March 31, 2012 – The American Red Cross, Cape Cod and Islands Chapter and Cape and Islands United Way welcomed over 450 guests at the 10th Annual Heroes Breakfast on March 30th at the Resort and Conference Center in Hyannis. Forty five individuals from across Cape Cod were honored for their selfless acts of heroism and their heroic contributions to their communities.

Executive Directors Hilary Greene of the American Red Cross, Cape Cod and Islands Chapter and Amy Levine of the Cape and Islands United Way hosted the event, with the support of Master of Ceremonies Peter Meyer and many sponsors and members of the community presented the awards. A number of Heroes were introduced by videos provided by the Cape Cod Community Media Center. Patricia Pronovost organized the edited award stories and the program book was sponsored by Business Center of Cape Cod in Centerville.
