Red Cross officials in Utah announced today that State Farm® has donated $20,000 to support disaster preparedness and response efforts statewide.
“The value of this generous donation extends far beyond the actual dollar amount,” said Heidi Ruster, CEO, American Red Cross Utah Region. “Prepared communities respond more effectively during disaster situations and recover more quickly and efficiently when the disaster is over. The support of our wonderful corporate partners, like State Farm, empowers us to take preparedness in Utah to the next level.”
The State Farm grant will allow for the American Red Cross to ready countless more people for a catastrophic disaster situation through intensive disaster response training and in-depth disaster preparedness education.
“As we witnessed another busy wildfire season in Utah, we remain here, working alongside the community helping our customers recover and rebuild,” says local State Farm Agent TJ Olson. “We see firsthand, time and time again the critical public need fulfilled by the Red Cross for our community.”
