Red Cross to Hold Volunteer Orientation on July 1

By volunteering time with your local Red Cross, you will change lives in our community, starting with your own.

The Red Cross is currently recruiting local volunteers to serve in the Jacksonville area. Volunteering with the American Red Cross provides the fabric that enables ordinary individuals to perform extraordinary services.

“By volunteering time with your local Red Cross, you will change lives in our community, starting with your own,” said executive director, Katie Gregory.

The local Red Cross will hold a Volunteer Orientation on Monday, July 1st to give interested parties in Cass, Greene, Morgan and Scott counties an inside look at the world of a Red Cross volunteer.

DATE: Monday, July 1

TIME: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

LOCATION: Central Prairie Chapter office (700 N. Prairie Street, Jacksonville)

  • Community disaster education presenters
  • Disaster Action Team (DAT) members
  • Special event volunteers
  • Development volunteers
