The Saint-Gobain Corporate Foundation, created in 2001, provides financial and other assistance to an extensive variety of nonprofit organizations within their local communities. This includes the generous donation provided to the Red Cross of Massachusetts towards our support to prevent home fires throughout the local communities.

Our Home Fire Prevention Campaign is dedicated to reducing the number of fires in local neighborhoods by canvassing at-risk communities, changing smoke alarm batteries, installing functional smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and educating people about how to prevent and respond to home fires. The campaign aims to reduce the number of fire-related deaths and injuries by 25 percent by 2020.

Helping to keep communities prepared for home fires can mean the difference between life and death. The Red Cross provides tools and resources in order to help prevent home fires and save the lives of those affected. Since the start of the campaign, the Red Cross has successfully installed 108,000 smoke alarms, prepared 55,000 households, armed 275,000 youth with home fire preparedness and prevention information, and saved 15 lives.

You too can help the American Red Cross of Massachusetts prevent fire disasters, save lives, reduce injuries, and cut down on the loss of homes due to fire disasters. Your volunteer hours and donations help to keep families and community’s safe and fire free. There is no better reward than the feeling of helping others and the Red Cross of Massachusetts can help to make this possible.
