Show your support for the American Red Cross serving Arkansas on Thursday, April 7th during ArkansasGives a 12-hour online giving event sponsored by Arkansas Community Foundation.
From 8:00am-8:00pm you’re asked to visit ArkansasGives.org to make a donation to the Red Cross. All gives are made exclusively online through the ArkansasGives.org site. The minimum donation is $25. The donation site will be activated on April 7th.
The Community Foundation is challenging supporters of participating non-profits to make a donation on a single day within the 12-hours in recognition of the vital work charitable organizations do across the state.
“The Red Cross provides care to Arkansans after five home fires each day as well as weather related disasters; trains the public in health and safety courses, teaches disaster education and provides lifesaving donations of blood,” stated Regional Chief Executive Officer Brad Barghols. “Support of this incredible day reinforces the importance of the Red Cross and the other organizations in the lives of Arkansans and those they care about.”
As a special incentive to give, each gift made through ArkansasGives on April 7, 2016 will be matched with additional bonus dollars; the more people give the more bonus dollars each charity will receive.
The Community Foundation’s first effort with ArkansasGives this past year was a huge success with close to two million dollars awarded to more than 370 non-profits across the state.
