The Associate Board Does It Again!

Great Escape

The Red Cross fundraising event, The Great Escape, has officially moved to the Fall! The former spring “Party for a Cause” was held on November 16, 2012 at the Dayton Country Club with a new holiday theme, “Give Something that Means Something.”

This year’s event encouraged the Dayton area to give the gift of hope in their local communities by helping someone in need. By supporting the American Red Cross and kicking-off the holiday season at the Great Escape - an after-hours networking, cocktail party and silent auction - local residents were able to support disaster relief and preparedness in the Miami Valley; ensuring that the Red Cross will always be there in their time of need. Attendee’s enjoyed music by DJ: Elite Sounds, dancing, delicious food, drinks and a “Holiday Gift Themed” Silent Auction.

The Great Escape is produced by the Dayton Area Chapter’s Associate Board – a volunteer group of young professionals representing the Greater Dayton community who donate their time and efforts to help support the Red Cross and Disaster Relief. “Our Associate Board is the top young professional group in the area. Their commitment to our Chapter is amazing. It’s great that these present and future community leaders step up so significantly for the people we help,” states Fran O’Shaughnessy, Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Dayton Area Chapter. The Red Cross would like to thank the Associate Board for putting on another amazing event.
