Three Ways to Give Back During Red Cross Month

Doris Baker and Tiffany Stuhr
...uncover your inner hero and support the Red Cross today!

March is Red Cross Month, a time when we recognize the ongoing work of the people who bring our mission to life. These individuals – financial donors, blood donors, CPR trainees, disaster volunteers and others -- are the everyday heroes of the Red Cross; and they are making a difference in communities nationwide and throughout the world.

This year, Starwood Retail Partners, U.S. Bank and Wawa have each teamed up with the Red Cross to celebrate our everyday heroes and provide their customers with an opportunity to support the Red Cross throughout March. Here are three easy ways you can make a donation to the Red Cross while out and about in your community this month:

Starwood Retail Partners

Visit your local Starwood mall to celebrate community heroes! On Saturday, March 28, 24 Starwood malls across the country will host an Everyday Heroes event where the general public will have the opportunity to build a personal Red Cross first aid kit, take a picture to add to the Everyday Heroes tower recognizing local heroes and volunteers and make an online donation to the Red Cross to support disaster relief through your mall’s custom donation page. To find a Starwood Mall event near you, visit

U.S. Bank

U.S. Bank is making it easy for its ATM customers to support the important work of the Red Cross. Throughout March 2015, customers can make a financial donation to support Red Cross Disaster Relief at thousands of designated ATMs nationwide.

Wawa and The Wawa Foundation

Wawa convenience retail stores are once again committing support to serve communities within their footprint. During Red Cross Month and continuing through May 3, Wawa customers can support the Red Cross by donating change at canisters near the register.

We all have the potential to be everyday heroes. March is Red Cross Month and we encourage you to uncover your inner hero and support the Red Cross today!
