Upper Sandusky Family Receiving Red Cross Help After Fire

An Upper Sandusky family has food for their family and supplies for their infant child after a fire in their home, thanks to the American Red Cross of Wyandot County. The family of five was driven from their South Seventh Street home late Monday evening. Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteer Jennifer Garza and Wyandot County Red Cross Director Cheryl Wolfe responded to the call for help. Along with assistance for food, diapers and infant formula, the Red Cross also provided blankets, comfort kits of personal hygiene items and a cleanup kit with supplies to help the family begin the process of returning to their home.

The Red Cross continues to provide help as needed and will aid the family with their recovery planning by providing resources, referrals and information.

All Red Cross disaster relief is provided free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the American people. If you’d like to make a donation to the American Red Cross, visit redcross.org/hancock, text “REDCROSS” to 90999 to make a $10 donation or call (419) 294-1935.
