Walden Galleria to Host Red Cross Night

March is Red Cross Month, and Walden Galleria is supporting the local Chapter through “Red Cross Night” this Wednesday, March 7th. From 5pm until closing time, three Walden Galleria restaurants-Bravo, Gordon Biersch and The Melting Pot-will donate 10% of every customer’s bill to the American Red Cross, Serving Erie & Niagara Counties.

“We are so grateful to Walden Galleria for supporting our mission of preventing, preparing for and responding to disaster here in Western New York,” said Emily Shafer, American Red Cross Development Associate. “The best part of this event is that customers can support the Red Cross by doing nothing more than enjoying a great meal with their friends or family on Wednesday evening.”

Customers will not need a flyer or coupon to participate in Walden Galleria’s “Red Cross Night.” Bravo, Gordon Biersch and The Melting Pot will take the 10% donation off every customer’s entire bill from 5pm until closing time Wednesday evening.

The American Red Cross spends an average of just over $1,000 providing for the immediate emergency needs for a family of four following a single family house fire. Here in Erie and Niagara Counties, the Red Cross assisted 974 community members affected by fires and other local disasters, assisted 166 military families and trained 15,620 people in lifesaving skills last year. In addition, nearly 520,000 units of blood were distributed to 129 hospitals. The Red Cross is not a government agency and relies on donations of time, money and blood to do its work.
