Shawna Dias, Youth Programs Manager for the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts, said more than 20 kids will scrub down cars on Sept. 29 to raise money for disaster relief.
The carwash will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Central Middle School in Quincy. Rates are $6 for cars, $8 for SUVs and $10 for large trucks. The group hopes to raise $1,000.
Youth Programs provide young people with meaningful opportunities to help their communities prepare for and respond to emergencies, to acquire valuable skills and leadership training and to become a lasting part of the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts. We engage youth in understanding the importance of social justice, encourage them to uphold the fundamental principles of the American Red Cross and inspire them to a commitment to service in Red Cross communities across eastern Massachusetts.
