Thank you to Wells Fargo & Company for its long-standing support of the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region, including its contribution of $10,000 to the Service to the Armed Forces and Veterans program.
Just prior to Veterans’ Day, on Nov. 11, 2016, Wells Fargo employees and LA Rams representatives joined the Red Cross to promote the Red Cross’ “Holidays for Heroes” program, which enables the public to write and send notes of support and gratitude to service members, veterans and their families during the holidays and all year round.
Representatives from the three organizations visited Acacia Elementary School in Thousand Oaks and Kelso Elementary School in Inglewood to write messages on holiday cards that will be distributed to members of the armed forces and veterans during the holiday season.
“The holidays are a time to express gratitude, and the American Red Cross has given all of us a wonderful way to say thank you to our service members and veterans for their sacrifices to keep us safe,” said David DiCristofaro, lead region president of Wells Fargo in Greater Los Angeles and a former member of the Red Cross L.A. Region Board of Directors, who took part in the card writing event.
Since 1999, Wells Fargo has contributed more than $1.8 million to the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region and individual chapters in the L.A. area to support a number of initiatives, primarily for disaster preparedness and response. The company’s commitment to the American Red Cross is just one of its contributions to the Los Angeles community.
“We thank Wells Fargo for its recent hands-on support of our military members and for its support of our many other initiatives to help our community members,” said Jarrett Barrios, CEO, American Red Cross Los Angeles Region.
