Andrea L. Waldron has been named Chief Development Officer (CDO) for the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region, it was announced today by Donna M. Duhe, Vice President – Development, Pacific Division. Ms. Waldron had served as CDO of the San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter of the Red Cross since February of 2011.

“The significant inroads Andrea made with our San Diego chapter will complement the progress that our dedicated fundraising team has already made here in the Los Angeles Region,” says Duhe. “The Los Angeles Region has very ambitious goals for the coming year, and I know that Andrea’s leadership skills and experience will greatly help us achieve those goals.”

A longtime fundraising executive, Waldron has successfully led the fund development efforts of several national and local non-profit organizations. She served as the development director for Easter Seals of the Bay Area, an affiliate of the national Easter Seals organization, securing funding to improve the lives of individuals and families impacted by disabilities. Waldron has also served as a board and fund development consultant for several non-profit organizations, including TASH, a national disabilities advocacy organization.

Prior to joining the Red Cross, Waldron served as development director for the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District of Kiwanis International, for more than four years.

Waldron is a Southern California native and an alumna of San Diego State University. She is married to a former member of the U.S. military and the couple have two sons, Jaxson and Trevor.

Waldron is an actively engaged in the community and is a graduate of LEAD San Diego and Leadership California, and a member of the Holiday Bowl Committee, the Neighborhood House Association Board of Directors, and a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy.
