Host Fritz Coleman and Glendale-Crescenta Valley Chapter Executive Officer Ron Farina are joined by comic friends for an evening of fun.

Chapter Executive Officer Ron Farina said: "Based on audience feeback, this was one of the best Comedy Nights in our 22 year history.

NBC4’s Fritz Coleman, seen nightly on the five, six and late news broadcasts, hosted the 22nd Annual Fritz Coleman Comedy Show for the Glendale-Crescenta Valley Red Cross Chapter last month. Coleman has been named “Best Weathercaster” in nearly every major newspaper in Southern California, including the Orange County Register, the San Bernardino Sun and the Los Angeles Daily News. The night was a huge success, with all proceeds going to the Red Cross.

Coleman started out by announcing that he is a brand-new Granddad for the first time. He said his new role is being acknowledged by the amount of older-centric mail he’s been receiving.

And, for the first time in the popular annual show’s history, Coleman shared the stage with one of the front-row VIP guests – an English bulldog named Lucius. Canine celebrity Lucius is a military service dog who delighted guests with his friendly paws-up greeting. Lucius’ dates for the evening were veterans Kenneth James and Joseph Palesano.

Lucius joined other stand-up comedy favorites, Quinn Dahle, Bobby Collins and Ron Pearson, who entertained the audience with their well-received anecdotes about marriage and life. While Lucius enjoyed the personal attention – the rest of the night’s guests enjoyed the high-quality humor.

The Glendale Centre Theatre donated the venue and delicious Lebanese food was supplied by Phoenicia Restaurant owner Ara Kalfayan, who treated VIP ticketholders to a pre-show reception and buffet dinner.

Ron Farina, Chapter Executive Officer for the Red Cross, remarked: “Based on the audience feedback, this was one of the best Comedy Nights in our 22 year history.”
