On March 19, the American Red Cross hosted its Annual National Awards and Recognition Dinner in Washington, D.C. to honor 24 exemplary volunteers and employees.
Among those recognized at the ceremony was Orange County volunteer Bryan Solis, who received the Navin Narayan Award, a prestigious annual honor presented to a youth volunteer for exceptional service to the organization. Bryan has been a volunteer with the Red Cross for five years and currently serves as the Orange County Youth Advisory Committee vice-chair, the Red Cross Club coordinator and the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) youth coordinator. He is responsible for managing all service projects, youth meetings and daily activities for more than 40 clubs across Orange County. Additionally Bryan has played an instrumental role in building the first-ever Youth Advisory Council in Riverside County.
“We are very proud of Bryan for having received this well-deserved recognition,” said Lori Ohls, director of Volunteer and Community Involvement. “Bryan’s commitment to supporting the Red Cross mission is truly exceptional and we are so grateful for all he does to support our youth programs.”
