Red Cross opens evacuation center in Walsenburg

WALSENBURG, CO – 10:45 p.m. July 16, 2014 – The Red Cross has opened an evacuation center in Walsenburg, Colo. to support the evacuation of 157 Boy Scouts, Scout Leaders and Camp Staff from the Spanish Peaks Scout Ranch.

The evacuation center is at the Huerfano Community Center, 928 Russell Ave., in Walsenburg.

The Spanish Peaks Scout Ranch is located approximately 20 miles southwest of Walsenburg.
