Bridgeport Family Gets Help After Fire

Red Cross Responds to Large Number of Fires in Pee Dee
The Red Cross is helping with emergency housing, food and baby needs.

BRIDGEPORT, CONN., July 24, 2014 – The American Red Cross is helping a family of five – one adult and four children – with emergency housing, food and baby needs after a fire today on Central Avenue in Bridgeport. The displaced children were also provided stuffed animal toys. Red Cross team members Mike Vincelli and Kristen Binau responded to assist the family.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.
