DANBURY, CONN., December 27, 2013 – The American Red Cross is helping 14 people – 11 adults and three children – in five families after a fire yesterday on Triangle Street in Danbury. The Red Cross is providing help with emergency housing and food needs. Red Cross volunteers Ed Briggs, Nicki Collins, MJ deBourbon, John Lennon and Nelson Medina responded to assist the families.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.
