Red Cross Helping Four People After Waterbury Fire

The Red Cross is helping a family with emergency needs.

WATERBURY, CONN., OCTOBER 17, 2013 – The American Red Cross is helping four people – three adults and one child – after a fire earlier today on Waterville Street in Waterbury. The Red Cross is providing help with emergency housing, food, clothing and baby needs.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.

American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
