Red Cross Helping Two People After Norwich Fire

The Red Cross is helping with emergency needs in the wake of the fire.

NORWICH, CONN., OCTOBER 17, 2013 – The American Red Cross is helping two adults with emergency food and clothing needs after a fire on Mohegan Park Road in the Taftville section of Norwich on Wednesday night. In addition, one of the two residents of the building is getting help with emergency housing needs.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.

American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
