Red Cross Helps Three After West Suffield Fire

The Red Cross is helping with emergency housing, food and clothing needs.

WEST SUFFIELD, CONN., December 8, 2014 – The American Red Cross is helping three adults in two families after a fire earlier today on Mountain Road in West Suffield.

The Red Cross is providing two adults help with emergency housing, food and clothing needs. The Red Cross is providing a single adult help with emergency food and clothing needs.

Red Cross volunteers Eloise Bennett and Ginger Flynn assisted in the response to the fire.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.

American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
