Red Cross Helps Four People After North Kingstown Fire

Our thoughts and hearts are with the family that lost a loved one in the fire.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I., November 3, 2014 – The American Red Cross is helping four adults with emergency housing, food and clothing needs after a fire Sunday on Annaquatucket Road in North Kingstown. Red Cross volunteers Walter Wasowski, Michael Norton and Melissa Shires responded to help the residents.

"Our thoughts and hearts are with the family that lost a loved one in the fire," said Rhode Island Chapter Executive Director Paula Montgomery.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.

American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
