Donation to help support relief efforts from massive wildfire in Alberta
Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) is helping respond to the Canadian wildfires with a $100,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross, through the American Red Cross. Headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island, Textron Inc.’s donation in the wake of the wildfires that began spreading in Alberta, Canada on May 1, will help support disaster relief efforts for the Canadian Red Cross.
“The contributions of Textron to the Red Cross Alberta Fires Appeal is deeply appreciated,” says Conrad Sauvé, president and CEO, Canadian Red Cross. “This generosity enables us to provide immediate relief to those who may have lost everything, while also ensuring we are able to support people, families and communities in the months and years ahead.”

The $100,000 donation from Textron Inc. came from four separate business units from across the United States:
• $25,000 Bell Helicopter-Fort Worth, TX
• $25,000 Textron Systems-Providence, RI
• $25,000 Greenlee (Textron Tools & Test)-Rockford, IL
• $25,000 Textron Charitable Trust-Providence, RI
The Canadian Red Cross is helping families impacted by the massive wildfires. Staff and volunteers are providing accommodations, food, and water—in addition to family reunification services. Specially trained volunteers are offering comfort and care to those who have suffered emotional trauma.
