It was busy morning for the Metro New York North Chapter of the American Red Cross as they responded to three fires within the course of a few short hours. Two fires in Mt. Vernon left 22 residents displaced including three children.
Red Cross disaster responders were on hand to provide emergency relief to all who needed it, including food, blankets, housing and emotional support. Another fire in a four story apartment building in Yonkers impacted four apartments.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, all Red Cross disaster assistance is provided at no cost to those affected.
